The Lincolnshire Bird Club

I have planned to do a 24 hour birding trip around north lincs on my bike for a few months now. never actually got round to doing it so I have finnaly set a date on the longest day of the the year june 21st. I want to try top my bird species seen in a single day (87 November 13th 2010) so far i have targeted 78 species and I feel I have been very harsh on myself as I haven't included species like Terns, only 4 waders on my list.

I'm not going to bore you all with the list but suggestions of sites would be great. I already have some sites in mind. I am willing to go as far north as Grimsby and as far south as Donna nook as far west as I don't know. Once have drawn up my timings and list of sites i will then post it on this same thread and you can feel free to check on my succes. If anybody wants the list of the 78 targeted species I can send them in a personnal message and if people would like to add to that list it would be very gratefull.

Planned out my outlined route. I'm starting in Bradly were I will search surronding woodland for owls. I will stay there till dawn when i will go find smaller bird species. Then head for Cleethorpes hitting some other areas of interest. From cleethorpes pier I will walk to Donna Nook or Pyes Hall depending on times. then shoot off to Covenham resevoir, Then the lakes around North Thorsby after this I will bike around my loacal villages, ticking off those little extras. If anybody knows of some good sites inbetween these that would be extremly greatfull. I especially need help on owls. Just send me a PM and I shall reply.
