While visiting Rimac this afternoon,I managed to find a single male Small Red-eyed Damselfly on the main dipping pond.It showed fairly well resting on pond weed,but occasionally flying about.Also observed at Rimac were at least 95 Ruddy Darter,an amazing count!.

Having looked several times for small red eyed Steve, and seen none , thats the only record i know
of this year, so well done, yes ruddy darters are usally common on the reserve.

4 Red-eyed seen at Rimac pond on the 21st. 1 today in rather blustery conditions but sunny. Also a single Emperor appeared very briefly.
