Hi

If you enjoy using Birdtrack or the online Bird Atlas method of recording with its instant map-based feedback, then this sytem could be for you. The LivingRecord system works by locating a location very precisely using Google Maps and then adding species records at that location. The programme can then produce maps of species distribution and number of records, so that all on the system can see how records are stacking up across the county.

Unfortunately it is an invitation-only system at the moment so you cannot see any of the impressive maps that Dorset and Wilts. recorders have generated so far.

If you are interested in having a look at the system then please PM me so that I can send a log in/password to you.

Thanks

Nick
