Willow Tree Fen LWT Reserve 18 July 2010 (LNU Meeting) 13.00 - 16.00 A very good site for dragonflies and damselflies that can only get better with proposed fenland recreation scheme. Although not in huge numbers on site a total of 14 species were noted. Variable Dam 1 Blue-tailed Dam 20 Red-eyed Dam 5 (brief look at Counter Drain on southern site boundary) Azure Dam 2 Common Blue Dam 50+ Common Emerald Dam 20 Banded Demoiselle 1 (brief look at Counter Drain on southern boundary) Brown hawker 8 Emperor 1 Black-tailed skimmer 2 Broad-bodied chaser 1 Four-spotted chaser 2 Ruddy Darter 20+ Common darter 2 Brian Hedley with Nick Tribe |
