I had a rarity in my garden yesterday,a Bullfinch,my 57th garden tick. It was hovering like a fat hummingbird taking seeds off nettles. |

An odd one in my garden, a ♂ pheasant! It comes in everyday, goes round the back and then goes round the front. I once had a ♂ Great-spotted Woodpecker on my peanut feeder, I've even got that on film!! |

3 First-winter Black-headed Gulls eating remains of Xmas turkey just now! Made off with the rich pickings and were then pursued by a mob of adults after their booty! 1 Jackdaw too. EDIT @ 15:20 - Ringed male Blackbird just now |

A female Brambling seems to have taken up residence, been in the garden all week mainly on nijer feeder (had male & female before Christmas) also 4 plus tree sparrows regular and 5 l t tits now and again. |

1 Common Gull briefly making contact with snow! Brings Garden Life List up to 26! EDIT: also 1 Jackdaw, few Black-headed Gull and 1 Pied wagtail. Gulls arrived seconds after my mother had put a lot of food scraps out and suddenly..... WHAMMO............... |
