I had a rarity in my garden yesterday,a Bullfinch,my 57th garden tick. It was hovering like a fat hummingbird taking seeds off nettles.

An odd one in my garden, a ♂ pheasant! It comes in everyday, goes round the back and then goes round the front.

I once had a ♂ Great-spotted Woodpecker on my peanut feeder, I've even got that on film!!

3 First-winter Black-headed Gulls eating remains of Xmas turkey just now! Made off with the rich pickings and were then pursued by a mob of adults after their booty!

1 Jackdaw too.

EDIT @ 15:20 - Ringed male Blackbird just now

1 Common Gull briefly making contact with snow!

Brings Garden Life List up to 26!

EDIT: also 1 Jackdaw, few Black-headed Gull and 1 Pied wagtail.

Gulls arrived seconds after my mother had put a lot of food scraps out and suddenly..... WHAMMO...............
