dear all
i have recently had a meeting with mike sleight ne lincs council ecology officer and he is seeking historical bird records for the saltings and westwood gardens / allotments development. they are turning a sizeable area of the allotments into a nature reserve and a small development on the rest. he needs info on species seen in the general area of the site over past years.
to view this site and have an input you need to go on line at nelincs.gov.uk/leisure/parks and a web page shows, then click on saltings westwood consultation where there is a map of the proposals. these are not yet cast in stone and bird info is required. if you know of anyone who is local and not on this website or anyone with any relative info please either contact me or go on line to mike himself at mike.sleight@nelincs.gov.uk.
thanks and remember any help no matter how small is better than no help at all, the consultation period lasts untill the end of feb 2009

terry whalin :)
