Hi,

LBC now have write-ups for some of the exceptionally rare species finds from 2000-2002 for the next bird report (thanks Graham Catley & Kev Wilson). However, we are without two which we really ought to have. The Messingham Green Heron and the Rimac Lesser Sand Plover.

The heron was apparently found by Andrew Stanworth and Andrea Travis. If you know how I could contact them I'd be most grateful. Please email me privately to avoid putting any personal details into the public domain - jealous birders from Norfolk may send them a guano parcel bomb!

If you were involved with either of these, then I'd be grateful to receive a copy of your notes &/or description of the circumstances, identification, field sketch etc. If possible we'd like to include this with the report.

Thanks,

John

Looks like we're getting there. I have made contact with the finder of the heron and I understand the plover was submitted to BBRC afterall, so we should be able to track the description down.

Cheers,

John
