The Lincolnshire Bird Club

Hi everyone,

Could anybody recommend a decent, reliablish place to see some Peregrine Falcon in Lincs? Got a couple of days off work next week and would really like to spend at least one seeing this magnificent bird of prey as i've never seen one before I'm in Grimsby BTW

Not sure if it is still there but there used to be one on the Old Victoria Mill building in Grimsby as viewed from near the Lincoln Castle Ferry.

Also a good place to try in winter is the Old Sugar Beat Factory in Bardney as Viewed from Nocton Fen, In winter there is usually a pair that sit on top of the tallest chimney and can often be seen on the ground in fields at Nocton Fen. Probably a bit early yet but I will let you know when they re-appear, they are usually regular winter birds there.

Peregrines can also turn up almost anywhere along the coast, I have seen them between Donna Nook and Gibraltar Point.

I haven't been to Lincoln Cathederal recently, but does anyone know if the Peregrine family is still there?
