Hi all,

Does anybody know of any local bird of prey clubs for lincolnshire? I know the Hawk and Owl trust have a few regional members groups around the place, any in Lincs?

Thanks

Hiya John,
Are you after Hawking/Falconry clubs or after rescue/collections?
Best wishes,
Steve

Hi steve,

I'm really looking for a club that the members participate in conservation projects to help wild birds of prey in Lincs :) I know the Hawk and Owl trust have a few regional sections and thought they may have a lincs one.

Cheers

Maybe if there are enough people interested you could start your own! :)

John,

Assuming you have good field skills you could assist the RSPB/Natural England Harrier Protection Scheme by locating nests of (principally) marsh harriers in the County, to help protect them from normal agricultural operations. Contact Jim Scott [jim.scott@rspb.org.uk]

You could also try volunteering for the Red kites at Rockingham, Northants (nest protection, people engagement, survey) or Ospreys at Rutland (nest protection, people engagement) if they aren't too far away.

Cheers,

JB
