Walked out of my back door today and found on the ground in a rather dazed state a House Martin. Probably had a close encounter with the house. I checked for any signs of injury and apart from it shutting it's eyes occaisionally, it looked fine. After a quick photo I held it up and could hear other House Martins calling above me, the bird seemed to hear this and perked up, within a few seconds it took to the sky again and appeared none the worse for it's ordeal.
