Post subject:  Lyme disease in Lincolnshire?

Does anyone know if there have been any cases of tick-born Lyme disease occurring in Lincolnshire?

It seems to be spreading countrywide and birders are as much at risk as other outdoor types from tick-born diseases especially if their legs are uncovered.

Apparently, many dogs also carry potentially harmful ticks.

There are plenty of ticks on Saltfleetby NNR Jim and I know of one case of Lymes disease in a local woman
who had it for some time before identified and treated, it can be a very serious infection.

Thanks for that word of caution, John. Definitely advisable to cover up.
