You may have heard that a very localised thunderstorm around 17.00 last Saturday burned out the camera, newly installed this year on St James Church that was giving excellent views of the nest and chicks.
Verger Chris Marshall, who paid for the camera has ordered a replacement, cost about £40, and it is hoped to quickly install it on 5 June when the chicks are ringed. This time, the camera will be paid for from income generated by the peregrine booklet.
