Whilst at RSPB Freiston Shore I parked in the overflow car park and walked the grassland sea bank circuit
returning at dusk (1610 hrs)to find a couple with a 1 year old Mazda estate in the small car park, the only other vehicle.
They had walked to the sea bank and back only 20 minutes but the side window was smashed in and the door
frame damaged , articles had been stolen, so beware if there to hide all possessions in boot , ( I had and
my car was undamaged)

regards John

I was warned that this had happened on a few occasions in recent months when I was last there in Oct

Isolated nature reserve Car Parks have always been a target for thieves. That's why you regularly see posters provided by the Police telling you to hide your valuables. Always be wary no matter how safe you think it is (and it's 19 years since I used to say that professionally).
