Post subject:  Brexit blow to RSPB

It looks like the RSPB could miss out on EU funding as a result of Brexit.

Its accounts reveal that it received £3.41-million from Brussels last year and £4.19-million the previous year.

Now that our birds risk missing out on the safeguarding provided by EU directives, I sincerely hope that the charity steps up its lobbying of Government to ensure that UK wildlife is not steamrollered by business interests.

However, I am not hopeful. Its leadership doesn't seem to have a lot of oomph. Considering the huge membership of the RSPB, it seems to have a very low profile in the affairs of the nation.

If I am being unfair, please will someone correct me.
