The Lincolnshire Bird Club

At this month's AGM is it the intention of the current officers and committee to stand for re-election en bloc?

I would certainly welcome this because I know they do a huge amouint of work - much of it time-consuming and probably tedious - behind the scenes.

However, if anyone is preparing to step down perhaps there ought to be some advance notice in case (admittedly unlikely) anyone else wants to put his/her name forward.

It might cause difficulties if the club if a vacuum were to be left by key officers stepping down without prior notice.

Some reassurance in advance of March 22 would be welcome.

None of the officers or committee have indicated they wish to stand down so we will be looking to re-elect the committee en bloc. We also have room for more committee members should any member like to put themselves forward.

However, if competent members of the club were to step forward and offer their services, you may find that some current officers would be only too happy to stand down!
