Bit of a long shot this but I might be lucky.

Have been looking through my early notebooks to input the details into the computer and have found a record for a Diver sp at Covenham on 20/03/1988.

I don't suppose any one has a note of what it was?

The 1988 LBR includes a first winter Great Northern Diver at Covenham Res during March 15th to April 25th. (There was also a Black-throat briefly on March 12th)

Hi Andrew, that was very prompt.

The plumage description I noted was leading towards a GND but I had noted that the bill was 'heavy' so will go with that.

Yes definitely a GND on the 21 April 1988
