After several birding trips to Ecuador and many hundreds of photos, many of which are to be seen on the Flickr.com address below, I have recently learned that several of the photos of Stick Insects (Phasmids) are of species and even a genus new to science. Beats a first for Lincs/UK/Europe/WP me thinks. 8)

A Swiss scientist with 20 years experience of the subject saw my photos on the Web and contacted me. The wonders of modern technology.

So don't hide your shots on your hard drive, get them out there for all to see, you never know when you'll get a species named after you!
