A recent trip produced some memorable birds with the following highlights.

Alvor area
Azure Winged Magpies
Waxbills 15
Whimbrel
Crested Lark
Flamingoes
White Stork
Zitting Cisticola
Little Tern 1
Sandwich Tern
Gannet feeding off coast


A day out with Simon Wates produced 90 species
Quinta do Lobo included
Purple Swamp Hen
Little Bittern
Booted Eagle
Osprey
Flamingoes
Subalpine Warbler
Cattle Egret
Little Egret

Salgados Area
Glossy Ibis. C400
White Stork. C80
Lesser Yellowlegs
Squacco
Wheatear. Many
Yellow Wags C30
Whinchat
Wood Sandpipers


A trip up the Arade river to Silves produced
Flamingoes
White Stork
Grey Heron
Greenshank
Common Sandpipers
Grey Wags 2
Black Stork 1
Kingfishers


After that the free white wine kicked in.
