Have spent the last three days on the west coast of Ireland near Clifden. From where we are staying there are Cuckoos all over and drumming Snipe - something I haven't heard regularly since my childhood near Spilsby. As a bonus there are Chough's feeding on the tide line at the back of the cottage and we went to hear a Corncrake calling a couple of miles away last night. Oh, and it's been wall to wall sunshine all the time! |
