Post subject:  Humberside to scandinavia

Has anybody been birding to scandinavia..im only interested in going for the birds of prey..any info regarding best areas much appreciated..anybody organising any trips? If it turns out to be a simple trip from humberside i will report back!

Andy, the best way to see some of Swedens birds of prey is to go to a migration hotspot such as Falsterbo
in September,( although it can be a bit crowded as its a popular place for Scandinavian birders) Tarifa in southern Spain is another hot spot with hundreds of BoP passing over on a good day in mid September, and cape st Vincent in Portugal has good migration of BoPs , passerines ,and seabirds mid September to early October, and finally near the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria has some stunning numbers of migrants
in September when the weather conditions are favourable.
