I called in at the Visitor Centre at Tophill Low Nature Reserve today from 12.30 - 13.30 on my way back to Lincoln after connecting with the Black-bellied Dipper at Whatton,E,Yorks.
Around the bird-feeding area were:
incl. - Water Rail - which made several visits
Brambling - male and female
Pheasant - 3 hen and one white male
Tree Sparrow - 4/6
Greenfinch - 15/20 (very few in my garden in BBH this winter)
and in a field approaching the Reserve:
Fieldfare/Redwing - a flock of 100 plus.
Regards
Freddy
