0800 - 17.30 Minsmere Reserve and Westleton Heath 49 species with the following highlights 1 Dartford Warbler - Westleton Heath 2 Bearded tit and several heard calling 1 Smew (cracking male) 1 Brambling (male in with flock of c150-200 chaffinch) c15 Bewick Swans 1 Peregrine (juv) c 8 Marsh Harriers (including courtship aerobatics) 2 Ruff 3 Cettis Warb calling with Alistair Carr Fantastic weather and great sunset topped off a brilliant day for my first Minsmere visit. Cakes in the visitor centre are well worth returning for!! |
