I had excellent close views of the Red-necked Grebe this morning on the Northern smaller of the two pits at Collingham New Workings off Carlton Ferry Lane,Collingham (SK 815628) on the Lincs/Notts border. This is believed to be the bird that was at nearby Langford Lowfields RSPB from 30 Dec 07-10 Jan 08. Also one Little Egret. NB - The pits are only about 25 minutes' drive from Lincoln Regards, Freddy. |
