Eyebrook Reservoir Leics
Green-winged Teal - reported drake showing well at the northern tip of the island at 3.45pm - flaunting his smart white vertical stripe
Goosander
Goldeneye
Gadwall
Wigeon
Redshank
Oystercatcher
Teal 20+

Rutland Water Leics
Little Gull - 2 adults showing well from the Visitor Centre at 5pm
Shelduck
Shoveler
Egyptian Goose

Great-northern Diver - 5 in roosting mode, strung out in a line near marker buoy Y, 'scoped from Normanton Church Museum 6.45 - 7.15pm.
-up to 7 birds have been recorded there recently early evening (a record for an inland site).

It's good news having 5 Great-northern Divers at Rutland Water and
1 Slavonian Grebe at Water's Edge,Barton-on-Humber. However,it's mind-boggling then to read the 31st March Birdguides report from Kirkwall,Mainland Orkney:

178 Great-northern-Divers
41 Slavonian Grebes.
