Midway through April, and the chalk cliffs at Bempton are simply alive with avifauna. All the usual birds are there in their thousands! An unexpected trip there garnered PUFFINS ( YAAAAAY! ![]() A Swallow joined my day's list when it zoomed past me at close range - probably no more than 2 metres or so. Lots of Tree Sparrows on the feeders, along with 2 Goldfinches, 5 Chaffinches, a Dunnock and a Greenfinch. 2 White Wagtails were looking for food scraps close to the Visitor Centre. Humber Bridge (one of my favourite British landmarks) looked splendiferously EPIC in the sunlight. |
