WOW just WOW! Horrified to hear that the Needletail collided with a Wind Turbine and picked up dead!! Terrible news indeed

This is a bird that occurrs in Central Asia and Southern Siberia and this particular individual had very little chance of surviving to breed. Sad but certainly not terrible except that it will be a martyr for the anti wind farm brigade.

Of course it wasn't going to stay and breed this is only the 11th record for Britain!! It's terrible that such a rare bird in this part of the world has come to end like this. But it does make you wonder how many of our swifts have come to the same gruesome end. And not only swifts raptors and smaller migrants too. Imagine the death toll from the slicers at Gib alone.
