Beautiful day at Titchwell Marsh - unbroken sunshine. Garganey - 1 on scrape near new Parrinder hides. (Year Tick) Common Scoter - roughly 250 offshore (Year Tick) Sanderling - many on beach (Year Tick) Ruff - everywhere! Golden Plover - hundreds on scrape overlooked by one of the new Parrinder Hides, all in good voice! Grey Plover - 1 on beach (Year Tick) Turnstone - about 20 on beach Greenshank - 1 on most water-less scrape. (Year Tick) Black-tailed Godwit - one on beach Chiffchaff - first sight and call of the year (Year Tick) Siskin - 1 on bird feeding area outside shop Snow Bunting - last-gasp winter tick! Thought I wouldn't see this beautiful bird before it left! (Year Tick) OTHER - 1 Common Frog and 4 rabbits. 7 Year Ticks today brings my Year Total to 93. |
