On a regular visit to the LGI I usually try and watch for birds etc. More often than not mostly see the Kestrel at side of the motorways and "A" roads. For a change as I was on the way back along the A64 near the Thorner turn-off I spotted two Red Kite which was a pleasing sight, they were flying lowish over a field. I always park at the lay-by which has the Big Red Bus cafe because it is next to a small wood, but up to press not seen anything of note there. Both on way and way back had two Kestrel and a single Cormorant on M180. John |
