Just 90 minutes in cold damp misty conditions - does the sun ever shine here? Unfortunately the boardwalk from the carpark to the nearest hide is in full view of virtually every bird on the East side of the islands so they all scarpered when I arrived. NLWT are apparently looking to put in fencing/hedging to camouflage the route and this will help enormously:

Cormorant c70
Grey Heron 2
Little egret 1
Great Crested Grebe 4
Mallard c25
Tufted Duck c50
Pochard 2
Gadwall 8
Shelduck 2
Goosander 2
Teal 8
Moorhen 7
Coot c30
Snipe 1
Green Sandpiper 1
BH Gull c60
Woodpigeon c200
Tits lots
Mixed finches 15
Corvids c55
