Hello all, I joined the forum recently but have only just got round to introducing myself.
I do most of my birdwatching in the back garden or in Central Park and Brumby Woods while walking the dog, with occasional jaunts to Far Ings, Blacktoft Sands and Atkinsons Warren. Two young, and very excitable, little boys make birding a bit tricky!
I thoroughly enjoyed the 'intro to birdsong' event at Far Ings, thanks to Andy and Steve!
I had quite a few first sightings last year and I hope to see bearded tits this year. I've heard Blacktoft is good for them, any advice will be very much appreciated.

Libby.

Libby, don't worry about where to see bearded tit, keep coming on the birdsong meets and we should come across them at some point. If not i'll take you to look for them on a suitable day after the group has finished.

Kind regards Andy Sharp.

Hello Libby, I am planning a couple of bird walks in Central Park soon. Will let you know the dates. Kestrel hunting the new wood Thursday, Friday last week. Great Spotted drumming in Brumby and Mess Room woods. See you round the park and welcome to the bird club. :D

Hi Simon! I've made a note of the dates and I'm working on a list of species I'd like to pre-book!!
I'm afraid I may have to bring the boys with me - possibly gagged!

Libby. :D

Thanks for that Roger.
I have been a couple of times; on last year's open day and some time last year to see the long eared owls (thank you to the Spavins for use of a scope!). I really must make the effort to go more often, especially in the morning when both the varmints are at school and I can get a bit of peace!

Libby.
