Hi; just joined the club and I am looking forward to contributing as much as possible to the club. Please don't verbally shoot me down but we do not currently live in the esteemed county of Lincolnshire. For our considerable sins (Wife Sue, a serious dude) we are forced to live in the exciting county of the West Midlands. We originally came from Notts and in the near future hope to move to Lincoln (she has to have shops!). We frequently go to the East Coast, between 2-3 times a month, and concentrate on Gibralter Point and the Saltfleetby Theddlethorpe area. We have visited all the other Lincolnshire coastal sites. Since being worn out by the rigours of playing squash and tennis I have been forced to find other outlets. I would describe myself as a birder with serious twitching tendencies! (last twitch was the Oriental Dove in Oxfordshire). I do find the social side to twitching interesting and entertaining but nothing beats finding your own rarities in the field. Currently trying to track down hawfinch, woodcock and the rarer gulls. I have to confess to a LL of less than 200. Please do not laugh, as I hope with the help of LBC members, to have that close to a more respectable 300 for my British list by this time next year. As I said, Sue my wife just enjoys the days in the field and can not be bothered with boring lists! Hope to meet many of you as soon as possible
Cheers Steve Andrew

Just like to add to the above with a quick observation on the LBC website. I do not know who is responsible for this but whoever they are, they are doing a splendid job. One of the best club websites I have seen.
