Hi all, My names Joe and i'm from Scunthorpe, been birding on and off for the last couple of years but starting to take it a bit more seriously now. I spend a fair bit of time down at Messingham Sand Quarry, Far Ings and Alkborough Flats. Possibly looking at buying a scope so any advice on good entry level models would be welcomed. Hi Joe, Welcome to the forum! Telescopes are a horrendous price these days, but I think it better if you avoid the cheap makes otherwise you won't get the quality. My advice would be to get a good second-hand one, with most of the dealers having a supply of them. Any of the Kowa and Opticron range are good value. Regards, Roy |

Hi Roy and Dean Thanks for the advice I must admit prices are a bit mad these days, but i'll see what I can find on the 2nd hand market. Looks like I might have to start saving my loose change... Thanks Joe |
