Mid morning on Monday 4th, what I believe to be a Rhyssa persuasoria came hurtling into the kitchen, clattered around the window for a minute then disappeared out of the back door. I couldn't get a photo of it but I've checked my insect book and I'm almost sure of the id.
I wish I'd managed to catch it to have a proper look, it was an amazing looking critter!
