I found it's not imperative to get there early to see these creatures of habit, I arrived at 13.30 and found 7 basking in the sun. For me I got excellent video footage and some pretty good pics with the camcorder. And a few pics with the compact digi.

These were the first of season for me.

Another visit early afternoon [8th], although it was cold and hazy sunshine they were out sunning themselves, only five in regular spot plus one seen in another part by my mate and he reported seeing a dead one with it's head missing, from the state of it, it looked as if it had been there a while.
